-
- True if IP is the only protocol of interest.
-
- PPP can be used to negotiate the link and network layer protocols that
- are to be used. In fact routers use PPP for just this purpose. So one
- *could* select an IP connection and/or an IPX connection depending on the
- application. I can think of some situations where this capability would be
- useful.
-
- Having said that, I don't know of any *dial-up* products that offer such
- a capability.

- Votes must be received by 23:59:59 UTC, 30 Mar 1994.
-
- This vote is being conducted by a neutral third party. For voting
- questions only contact ikluft@amdahl.com (Ian Kluft). For questions about the
- proposed groups contact tomh@metrics.com (Tom Haapanen).
-
- Soon after the 1st and 2nd CFVs are posted, copies will be sent to the
- bitnet.lists.win3-l list. To simplify work for the vote-taker, an e-mail
- server at msw-cfv-request@amdahl.com will respond with copies of the CFV.
-
- This final CFV also includes a "bounce acknowledgement" for people whose
- votes were successfully received and counted but the automated reply to them
- was returned as undeliverable. If you see your name on the bounce ack list,
- at the end of this CFV, your vote has been counted and there is no need to
- vote again. However, if you have voted and neither received and
- acknowledgement nor found your name on the bounce-ack list, you should try
- again because, in sucha case, your vote most likely was not received at the
- vote-counting site.

- >Im having the same problem. I was using WinQVT's telnet program and that

- >telnet program with port numbers. WinQVT is a tad chunky and cant be run from
- >Gopher as a viewer.
-
- Just a note:
- winQVT can be used from Gopher, you have to have the main QVT app open,
- and in the telnet "viewer" use <wherever you keep qvt>\tnstart.exe.
-
- This won't work if you don't have the QVT open, so it may not be a good
- alternative for users who are beginners.
